Caring for Upholstered Headboards
You may have heard that modern upholstered headboards were not a good fit for people with allergies. Does this mean that you can’t enjoy the style, luxury, and drama of these gorgeous headboards if you have allergies? Not at all. It does mean, though, that you may have to be a bit more vigilant when cleaning your headboard. How do you do this? Is it worth the time and hassle?
It’s not hard, it’s not time-consuming, and it’s not going to become a daily routine. Cleaning your upholstered headboard is easy. What makes it so is the fabrics used by manufacturers like Skyline Furniture. Shantung is just one example of the upholsteries used on these contemporary headboards, and it is relatively maintenance-free. You simply vacuum the headboard when you vacuum your room. Or if you’re an infrequent cleaner, just make sure to run a vacuum over the headboard once a week or so. You may have to do it more if you live in a very dusty environment – but if you do live in a dusty place, your allergies may be bothered by anything. They might as well be surrounded by beauty while they’re at it. Really, though, upholstery is no harder on allergies than other headboards.
